We start with the Mughals who ruled a large part of the subcontinent for more than 350 years. Delhi being the imperial capital lived up to its image of the most illustrious town of medieval India. Today Delhi’s walled city is known as Old Delhi. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan shifted the Mughal capital from Agra to Delhi. Possessing remarkable talent in architecture he brought about Delhi’s glorious renaissance. Trade flourished and continues to do so… We have an exciting way for you to discover these maze-like lanes. Take an exhilarating cycle rickshaw ride that passes through the colourful Kinari bazaar. This experience ends at the majestic Jama Masjid, 18th Century Mosque known for its restrain in architecture.
Drive past the Imperial part of the city designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the British in the 1920s. Continue along the main avenue, the impressive Rajpath to the World War I memorial arch, the India Gate and past the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President’s residence and the Parliament Buildings.
At Bangla Sahib Gurdwara, a historic Sikh shrine in central Delhi, everybody is welcome to a meal, and nearly everybody comes. The ‘langar,’ or free kitchen, operated by a Sikh shrine in Delhi dishes out an astonishing 10,000 meals a day. Anyone can volunteer at a Gurdwara, and although the Bangla Sahib Gurdwara is the largest, you’ll find smaller versions in most Delhi neighbourhoods. Everyone is welcome to come to Bangla Sahib Gurdwara and be part of VaṇḍChakkō, the Sikh uplifting concept that translates to ‘share and consume together’.Return to hotel. After breakfast depart to the Delhi airport to board direct flight (TBA – appx. 2 hrs) from Delhi to Varanasi.
Varanasi: Spiritual, beautiful and chaotic.
(One of the seven Holy Cities and the most favoured place for Hindus to attain a release from the cycle of life and rebirth. Myths and hymns speak of the waters of the Ganges River as the fluid medium of divine essence. A bath in the river is believed to wash away all of one’s sins. This is the longest inhabited city in the world as ancient as time itself)

After lunch, continue on to witness the Evening Aarti on the banks of River Ganges, where you will experience the rhythmic chant of mantras and through the aarti ceremony Agni Pooja will be performed where commitment is made to Lord Shiva and the universe created by him, Goddess Ganges and Agni the god of fire.

Today you will be exploring this ancient town and we intend to reveal some of its secrets. Walk through the labyrinth of streets that are lined with shrines, shops selling curiosities and certainly many a holy cow.Return to hotel & relax. Evening at leisure.

Boat ride – A poetic sunrise on the banks of the Mother River Ganga.
Behold the captivating beauty of the vicinity when the first ray of sun touches the sacred lands of the holy city. A transcending experience of how life starts with devotion and spirituality, which takes the immortal soul to its highest abode. Assembling at Assighat, the experience begins with paying respects to the holy river. This experience is aimed at introducing you to different aspects of Hindu spirituality. One can witness one of the several aspects like Vedic Chanting, Classical music recitals, Yoga demonstrations etc.
Visit Akharas, the traditional place of exercise. Visit an Ashram to learn about the lifestyle of its inhabitants. After the visit return to the hotel for breakfast.
Later proceed on an excursion to Sarnath.
Buddhists worldwide look upon India as the land of the Buddha and a visit to Sarnath means a pilgrimage to the place sacred to the memory of the Enlightened One. After the Buddha attained enlightenment in Bodh gaya he came to Sarnath. In the Deer Park, he delivered his first sermon, or in the religious term, he set in motion the wheel of Law (Maha – DharmachakraPravartan).
Today As Buddhism has branched off into several different sects, we invite you to visit the temples of each of these sects. With their distinctly different architectural styles. Tibetan temple, Thai Temple, Sri Lankan, Japanese, Korean and Chinese temple. We visit some of the homes and workshops of weavers of the famous banaras silk saris. The weavers belong to a Mulsim community called Ansaris. Ironically Banarasi saris are worn by Hindu brides across the country on the day of their wedding.Return to hotel & relax. Evening at leisure.

Forts were an integral part of Indian history. Each place was ruled from the fort in the area and this is where the imperial court was set up. The fort in Agra was built by the emperor Akbar. This is a fine example of the Hindu elements finding their way into Islamic style of architecture. The fort is rather well known for the melancholic tale of emperor Shah Jahan who was imprisoned here by his son in an apartment that overlooked the Taj Mahal.Check-in & relax. In the evening, let’s go out and enjoy some dinner at Rooftop restaurant.

An immense mausoleum of white marble, built in Agra between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage. After breakfast, drive to the great site of Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri a citadel built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar that was later abandoned for the lack of water. Abandoned cities have always had an allure in people’s mind. The perfectly preserved buildings with a little bit of imagination paint the picture of the of the opulent court culture of a bygone era.
After lunch at Laxmi Vilas Palace, board Super-Fast Train (KOTA JANSHTBDI 12060 @03:50 – 06:02 PM) from Bharatpur to Ranthambore. Sit back and relax on the express train. This morning, embark on a private jeep safari (1st Trip, included) through the rugged national park in search of the much sought-after Bengal tiger, monkeys, jackal and more. Return for breakfast. Begin today by driving by admire the striking façade of the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds, designed for the royal ladies to watch the processions and daily life of the city without being seen themselves – a result of the strict “purdah” which was observed until the 20th century. The impressive Amber Fort, around twenty minutes’ drive outside Jaipur itself, is our main site for the morning This imposing fort is situated atop a mountain in the midst of stark and dramatic landscape and dates back to 1592. You will drive up to the fort by jeep (elephant ride is also available at no extra cost) and explore the various buildings, here visit Panna Meena ka Kund, Marvel at the beautifully painted traditional Mughal doorways and the remarkable Sheesh Mahal with its thousands of mirrored tiles. Walk down from the fort and return to downtown Jaipur to explore shops for Rajasthani handicrafts in Jaipur’s where jewellery, fabrics, lamps, bangles, bags are world famous. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. An enormous arched doorway leads to the Joramal Temple. The royal chapel is Har Mandir where royal weddings and births were once celebrated in Junagarh Fort, Anup Mahal, Gaj Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Deshnok Temple and Sadual Museum.

Head for a visit of the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur.
Mehrangarh Fort stands a hundred feet in splendour on a perpendicular cliff, four hundred feet above the sky line of Jodhpur. Burnished red sand stone, imposing, invincible and yet with a strange haunting beauty that beckons. Much has been written about the Citadel of the Sun, for truly, it is one of the most impressive in all Rajasthan. So colossal are its proportions that Rudyard Kipling called it “the work of giants”. Today, it is acknowledged as one of the best-preserved forts in India.

Depart Jodhpur this morning for your drive through scenic southern Rajasthan to Udaipur. Around midday you will reach the celebrated temples of Ranakpur. These intricately-carved temples are one of the major pilgrimage sites for devotees of the Jain faith, one of India’s ancient religions. The main temple is around 600 years old and features nearly 1500 marble supporting pillars, all elaborately decorated. After lunch nearby, we continue to the famous lake city of Udaipur, with its lakes framed by rugged hills and palaces, and lively old town. After arriving in the late afternoon enjoy your evening at leisure.

Royal Lakes and Palaces of Rajasthan
Visit the Magnificent City Palace, an enormous edifice that stands on a hill on the banks of Lake Pichola, surrounded by crenulated walls. Built in 1567, it is composed of 4 major palaces and several minor palaces that form a single stunning façade.
Walk through the bustling colourful by-lanes of Rajasthani Bazaar with rich folk art and craft. Jostle with the camels and the rickshaws and visit the gentle holy temples in every crook and corner.
Also visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari. Maharana Sangram Singh built this garden for his daughter and the ladies of the Queen’s court. It is said he wished to recreate the monsoon for his daughter, who had been ill for a long period.
