Today we proceed to Kargil via Fotu La Pass and Namki La pass. Kargil is known as the location of the Indo-Pakistani border war of 1999. En route we visit Patthar Sahib Gurudwara – a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, Magnetic Hill – also known as Gravity Hill where vehicles defy the force of gravity, Sangam of the rivers Indus & Zanskar – two of Himalaya’s great rivers; Zanskar and Indus merge to form a spectacular view, Alchi Gompa – known for its magnificent and well preserved 11th & 12th century wall paintings, Moon land – the land resembles that of moon, Lamayuru Monastery – one of the largest and oldest gompas in Ladakh. In the evening, arrive at Kargil.

Today you will proceed to Drass, here we visit Drass War Memorial, it’s known as one of the coldest inhabited places on Earth, and it gained international recognition during the Kargil War between India and Pakistan in 1999. The region is often referred to as “The Gateway to Ladakh” due to its location along the National Highway 1D. also known as Vijay Memorial – built in the memory of the martyr soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War.
Then visit Mulbekh Monastery, it is perched on a hilltop overlooking the village and surrounding valley. showcases traditional Tibetan Buddhist architecture, with prayer halls, stupas, and beautiful wall paintings (thangkas). The serene and peaceful atmosphere of the monastery makes it a popular stop for pilgrims and tourists alike. & Maitrya Buddha Statue.The statue represents Maitreya, the Buddha of the future, who is believed in Buddhist tradition to be the next Buddha who will appear on Earth to teach the dharma (Buddhist teachings). The Maitreya Buddha statue at Mulbekh is one of the few large statues of its kind in the region. In the evening, arrive at Leh.

Today proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La – the world’s highest motorable pass. Nubra valley – the Shyok River meets the Siachen River to form this large valley separating the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges. Upon arrival we visit we visit Diskit monastery – oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in Nubra valley. Later we visit Hunder Village and Cold desert – the only place in India where twin humped camels is found. Nubra Valley has historically been a trade route connecting India with Central Asia and Tibet. The valley was once part of the famous Silk Route, and its trade significance has influenced the culture and economy of the region for centuries. The valley is home to a mix of cultures, with strong Buddhist influences alongside Islamic communities. The Balti people (who are culturally and ethnically Tibetan) predominantly practice Buddhism, while the Shia Muslim population is mainly found in the villages of Tegar and Hunder.

Today proceed to Turtuk village which was first opened for the tourists in the year 2010, Turtuk is a beautiful and remote village located in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, near the border with Pakistan. Known for its unique culture, stunning landscapes, and strategic location. Turtuk is one of the most fascinating destinations in the region, while visiting Turtuk we see Thoise Airport (Military Airfield), then we visit Turtuk wooden bridge, Turtuk monastery, late we walk through this Balti village. Further visit Thang village, is a hidden gem in the northern reaches of Nubra Valley and offers an authentic experience of Balti culture and the natural beauty of the region. With its peaceful atmosphere, spectacular landscapes, and proximity to historical and cultural landmarks like Turtuk, Thang is perfect for travelers seeking an offbeat destination in Ladakh. The village remains relatively untouched by tourism, making it a special place for those who appreciate solitude, nature, and immersion in local traditions. Northern most last village at LOC. Here we take a photo stop at LOC point.

Today proceed to Pangong Tso, also known as Pangong Lake – one of the world’s highest saltwater lakes. The most notable feature of this lake are its ever-changing hues. Pangong Tso (also called Pangong Lake) is one of the most iconic and breathtaking destinations in Ladakh, known for its crystal-clear blue waters and surrounding snow-capped peaks, Pangong Tso has become a must-visit spot for travelers and nature enthusiasts. The lake gained further fame after being featured in Bollywood films particularly in the movie 3 Idiots. The lake acts as an important breeding ground for a large variety of migratory birds like Brahmani Ducks, Rare black necked cranes and Seagulls.

Todayproceed to Leh via Changla pass, one of the highest motor-able road in the world. The name Changla pass literally means “Northern Pass” (Chang means north and La means Pass). En route we visit Hemis Gompa – a Himalayan Buddhist monastery which is believed to be the wealthiest and the biggest monastery in Leh and Photo stop at Thiksey monastery.

Today visit Shey Palace – used to be the summer retreat of the royal family of Ladakh, Sindhu Darshan – one of the longest rivers in Asia. Hall of Fame War Museum – a museum constructed by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars. Shanti Stupa – built by the Japanese monks to promote world peace. Later we have free time for shopping or You can end the day by visiting Hall of Fame Museum to witness Sound and Light show (Entrence on Direct Payment basis).
